Some good news

Quietness and isolation during COVID, and the dulling effects of anxiety and stress on creative thought and action, have taken a toll on creatives. Lesley-Anne readily admits to being one whose sensitivities and sensibilities are burdened during challenging times, making writing impossible at times. Yet it appears some of her words have taken root and are bearing fruit out in the world. For these gifts she is deeply grateful.

Lesley-Anne has the following good writing news to share with you:

• an article about Lesley-Anne’s venture at Feeny Wood, in the fall edition of Sage-ing Journal, pg 33-35.

• a suite of four new poems published in The Porch Magazine.

• Long listed for the Canterbury Poet of the Year, 2020: one of 35 poems selected from 550 entries. Pending publication in an anthology, 2021, for ‘When I said I Promise to Follow You All the Days of My Life I wasn’t Telling A Lie.’

• Long listed for the PENfro poetry competition 2020 for ‘What Shows and What it Might Mean.’

• accepted for publication in Presence – an international peer reviewed journal of Spiritual Directors International – for the poem ‘Arrivals,’ pending, March 2021.

Let’s celebrate each gift as it comes — little drops of light on the path stretching out before us.
